Sunworker

Trust and safety for venues

For: Venues

As a venue, you book self-employed professionals for individual shifts – here you will find the questions that come up most often and the article with the answer.

What this is about

Sunworker arranges matches between self-employed hospitality professionals and venues – it is not temporary agency work: the professional sets their own hourly rate and decides on every request. The principles behind this are explained in How Sunworker builds trust.

  • What you can rely on: verified credentials with expiry dates, money held in escrow until completion, and reviews only after completed shifts.
  • What stays with you: You describe the work and agree on what is needed on site – such as access, hygiene and safety requirements. How the work gets done is up to the professional.
  • What it costs: Signing up, searching, sending requests and messages are free. Costs only arise once a shift is formed.

Before booking

  • Are the credentials really checked? Yes. Sunworker checks every document for completeness, legibility and period of validity; once it expires, it shows as “expired” on the profile. Sunworker does not check professional suitability. Credentials and expiry dates
  • How meaningful are the reviews? Only someone who took part in a shift completed via Sunworker can leave a review – exactly once per shift and direction. Fair reviews
  • What applies to arrangements made in chat? Phone numbers, email addresses and links are hidden before delivery, and what counts is what is recorded in the shift. Only what runs through Sunworker is protected. Contact and payment outside the platform
  • How do I protect our venue's account? With a password of its own that you don't use anywhere else. Don't share the account – other users at your venue get their own access. Protecting your account and sign-in

Money and billing

  • How secure is the payment? The shift is formed when you confirm and the amount has been collected. The money is then held in escrow and only goes to the professional after the shift. Your card details stay with Stripe. Escrow and secure payment
  • Do I pay for the planned time or the actual time? The actual time, to the minute. The professional submits their actual time; you confirm it or dispute it within 48 hours, otherwise it counts as confirmed. Check-in, check-out and billing by actual time
  • What does Sunworker cost me? A service fee of 15 % on the order value, in addition to the professional's pay. Details are under Pricing.
  • What if we can't agree on the hours? You dispute the actual time and give a reason; you never change the times yourself. If you can't agree, there is a set procedure. Resolving disputes

Around the shift

  • What does a cancellation cost me? Nothing, as long as the shift has not been formed. After that, it depends on how short the notice is; Sunworker shows you the amount due before every cancellation. If the professional cancels, you pay nothing. Cancellations and no-shows
  • What can I specify on site? The result, the station, the day, start and end, a briefing and your hygiene, safety and house rules. Not: rotas covering weeks or requirements on the hourly rate. Self-employed, not agency work
  • Who is responsible for safety at the venue? You are liable for premises, equipment and safety as you would be towards any other service provider, and you point out hazards, such as hot equipment or steps in the storeroom. Staying safe on site
  • What rules apply to how we treat each other? The same for everyone: respectful, honest in all information, arrangements and payments via Sunworker. Ground rules for everyone · Respect during a shift

When something goes wrong

  • How do I report a violation? Directly via “Report” on the profile, message or review, with a reason and a short description. A person reviews every report. Reporting violations – and what happens next
  • What happens if our account is restricted? A person always makes that decision. You receive a statement of reasons and can lodge a complaint free of charge within 6 months. Account suspension and complaints
  • What do professionals see about our venue? Before a shift together, your profile shows the street without the house number; phone number and email are only shared once you have a confirmed shift together. Privacy at a glance

Warning: In an acute emergency, call the police or emergency services first. A report to Sunworker does not replace an emergency call.
