Sunworker

Contact and payment outside the platform

For: Venues · Professionals · Private individuals

Arrangements and payments run through Sunworker: contact details stay out of the chat, payment goes through escrow, and shifts arranged outside the platform break the rules.

At a glance

  • What applies: Phone numbers, email addresses, postal addresses and links are hidden in the chat. Payment goes through escrow, not around the platform.
  • Why: to protect against fraud and harassment, to keep arrangements traceable and so that payment, invoice and review run through the platform.
  • For whom: for venues, professionals and private individuals, in both directions.

Why everything runs through Sunworker

  • Protection against fraud and harassment: contact details are not shared via the chat.
  • Traceable arrangements: if there is a dispute, it is possible to see what was agreed.
  • Money in escrow: the amount is held in escrow until the payout; invoice and review run through the platform.
  • The shift is binding, not the chat: times and amounts apply as they appear in the shift.

How the chat works

  • A conversation is always started by the client – a venue or a private individual. There is one conversation per pair; shifts appear in it as notices.
  • Phone numbers, email addresses, postal addresses, links, messenger names and references to social networks are detected automatically and hidden before delivery – in both directions and even after confirmation.
  • Times, amounts and dates remain visible.
  • Suggesting a date in the chat does not book anything.

When you get the address and phone number

The address of the shift location, contact person and notes appear in the shift itself once it is confirmed. The other side's phone number and email address are only available once you have a shift together that is confirmed, in progress or completed.

Payment goes through escrow

The Shift Contract is formed when the client confirms and the amount has been collected. Sunworker holds the amount in a platform account with Stripe until the payout. Escrow and secure payment

Warning: Anyone who asks you to continue working outside Sunworker or to pay outside the platform is breaking the rules. You can report it.

What you give up outside the platform

  • No money in escrow: Only for a shift through Sunworker is the money held in escrow until the payout.
  • No binding arrangement: Times and amounts apply as they appear in the shift. Anything arranged outside the platform does not appear in the shift.
  • No invoice and no review via Sunworker: Invoice and review run through the platform. Only someone who took part in a shift completed through Sunworker can leave a review.
  • Consequences for the account: Circumvention is a reason to restrict an account, suspend it temporarily or terminate it.

Protection against circumvention

Venues and professionals agree not to arrange shifts outside the platform with someone they met through Sunworker, for up to 12 months after the last contact. The exceptions are:

  • relationships that existed beforehand
  • employment relationships
  • bookings by private individuals

In the event of a breach, damages equal to the commission or service fee are due; proof of a lower loss remains possible, and there is a duty to provide information. There is no contractual penalty. Professionals may offer their services anywhere else. The details are in the Terms.

How to report a circumvention attempt

  1. Select “Report” on the message or profile.
  2. Choose the reason “Contact details to circumvent the platform” and briefly describe what happened – without third parties' contact details.
  3. If you don't want to keep writing, you can also block the other side. Reporting a venue or behaviour

What blocking does

The other side can no longer write to you, and a client can no longer send requests. Ongoing shifts remain; cancelling is only possible on the shift. Only the person who blocked can lift the block.

What happens next?

After your report
You will receive an acknowledgement. A person checks it; nobody is blocked automatically just because of a report. Reported conversations are only seen by the people involved in the review. Reporting violations – and what happens next
If a breach is found
Possible consequences are: hiding messages, locking the conversation, restricting or suspending the account. The person who reported learns the outcome.
If a measure affects you
You will receive a statement of reasons and can complain free of charge within 6 months. Account suspension and complaints
