Questions about hospitality

Which hospitality professionals can I book through Sunworker?

Cooks, chefs de partie, sous-chefs, pastry chefs, waiters, service staff, hosts, bartenders, sommeliers, dishwashers and kitchen assistants. Each role only becomes visible once its documents have been checked.

Who sets the hourly rate?

The professional. They are self-employed, set their own hourly rate and their surcharges for nights, Sundays and public holidays, and accept or decline each request individually. You see the rate before you send a request.

When is the amount collected?

When you confirm the shift after the professional has accepted. The planned amount is then held in escrow on a platform account. After the job, the time actually worked counts, to the minute; if it differs, there is an additional charge or a partial refund.

Is this temporary agency work?

No. Sunworker matches self-employed professionals and does not hire out employees. The professional works on their own account; Sunworker issues the invoice in their name (invoicing by a third party).

Which documents do hospitality professionals have?

For the account: a trade licence, the tax office letter with their tax number and an identity check via Stripe. For hospitality: vocational training or retraining and a HACCP certificate.

How short-notice can I send a request?

Any time. Whether it works out is the professional's decision – the earlier you ask, the more professionals still have the day free.

What happens after the job?

The professional checks in and out, and you approve the actual times. Then you rate each other, and anyone who did well is quickly requested again next time.

Start with a request.
