One professional for one job.
Self-employed cooks, waiters, bartenders, hosts and kitchen helpers: you send a request, the professional decides to accept. Payment runs through escrow, billed on the actual time, and you always see where the money is.
One job, from search to rating
Eight stages. Each one shows who acts, where the money is right now and what it looks like in Sunworker.
Who acts: Business
Step 1: Search
You search by role, radius, date and documents. Each profile shows the hourly rate, experience, ratings and verified documents.
Where the money is: The money is with you. Searching is free.
Who acts: Business
Step 2: Request
You give the date, time and location. The professional has set the hourly rate; you cannot override it.
Where the money is: The money is with you. A request is free.
Who acts: Professional
Step 3: Acceptance
The professional decides alone whether to accept or decline, no reason needed. Without acceptance before the start, the request lapses at no cost.
Where the money is: The money is with you. Nothing is collected on acceptance.
Who acts: Business
Step 4: Confirm
Your confirmation makes the job binding. At this moment the planned amount including the service fee is collected from your payment method.
Where the money is: The money is now in escrow with Sunworker – no longer with you, not yet with the professional.
Who acts: Professional and business
Step 5: Check-in and check-out
The professional checks in on site, checks out after the job and submits the actual times. You confirm them or dispute a day with a reason.
Where the money is: The money is in escrow.
Who acts: Sunworker
Step 6: Settle
Billing is to the minute, based on the confirmed times. If the job ran longer, the difference is charged; if it was shorter, you get the difference back. Then comes the clearing period of 72 hours.
Where the money is: The money stays in escrow until clearing ends.
If something goes wrong
From confirmation to payout the money sits in escrow. If something goes wrong in that time, it is settled from there.
- Cancellation
- If you cancel, the cancellation scale applies: more than 48 hours before the start you get everything back; after that, part of it goes to the professional as compensation.
- No-show
- If the professional does not turn up, you report it on the job. After their objection period, the amount collected is refunded in full.
- Disputed hours
- If the times are wrong, you dispute the day and propose others. If you cannot agree, Sunworker reviews check-in times and messages.
Where the money is: The money stays in escrow until everything is resolved. The payout waits until then.
Who acts: Sunworker
Step 7: Payout
Sunworker prepares the invoice in the professional’s name (invoice issued by a third party), or they upload their own. Once clearing is over and the invoice is in, the money goes to the professional. The invoice and the receipt for the service fee are in your account.
Where the money is: The money is with the professional, minus their commission.
Who acts: Professional and business
Step 8: Rate
You rate each other, tied to this job. Both ratings stay hidden until both are submitted or 14 days have passed.
Where the money is: Everything is paid out; the job is complete.
