Resolving disputes
For: Venues · Professionals · Private individuals
If you disagree about the hours of a shift, there is a set procedure: the client disputes the hours, the professional corrects them or opens a dispute, and Sunworker establishes the times.
At a glance
- What it is about: a disagreement about the actual time of a shift – for example about start and end, the break or travel.
- What Sunworker looks at: the check-in and check-out times and the messages about the shift.
- What happens to the money: Until it is clarified, it stays in escrow; the payout is on hold until then.
How it works
- The professional submits the actual time for each shift day.
- If something is wrong, the client disputes it within 48 hours: with a category (times, break, travel or other), a reason of at least 10 characters and, if they wish, a counter-proposal. They never change the times themselves.
- The professional accepts the proposal, submits again with corrected times or opens a dispute.
- In a dispute, Sunworker establishes the times based on check-in, check-out and messages.
- Until it is clarified, the money stays in escrow.
What Sunworker clarifies – and what it does not
- Sunworker establishes the times – based on what check-in, check-out and messages show, not on who seems more likeable.
- Sunworker does not decide on prices. Only the professional sets the hourly rate.
- Sunworker does not decide on compensation for damage. You settle that between yourselves or with your insurers.
What happens next?
- If the professional accepts the proposal
- The day is then confirmed.
- If they submit again with corrected times
- The client checks the new times; the 48 hours start again.
- If they open a dispute
- Sunworker establishes the times. Until then, the money stays in escrow.
If you do not agree
Sunworker is not an arbitration body; you remain free to take legal action. Send questions about a shift by email to kontakt@sunworker.eu – quickest with the day and the venue. As a private individual, also give the support ID from your account.
How to prevent it
- As a professional, you check in and out on site – the times are the basis if you cannot agree.
- You submit the actual time in full: break, split shift, finishing early and travel.
- As a client, you check the actual time within 48 hours; after that it counts as confirmed.
- Keep any arrangements about the shift in the messages on Sunworker – Sunworker takes them into account too.
Important: If a “no-show” note is wrong, there is a separate route: as a professional, write to kontakt@sunworker.eu and name the shift. Sunworker has recorded your check-in. More in Cancellations and no-shows.
