Sunworker

Checking in, checking out and submitting your hours

On the day you check in and out on site, then submit the actual time for each day; the client confirms it, and without a response it counts as confirmed after 48 hours.

Check-in and check-out

You check in for each working day, no earlier than 30 minutes before the start and up to four hours after it. The “Today” card on your overview shows what is due. After work you check out. If your device sends a location at the same time, only you can see it — the client only learns the time.

If you forget to check out, Sunworker records the planned time six hours after the end of the day. You still submit your actual time yourself.

Submitting your actual hours

  1. Open the shift and choose “Submit hours”. Start, end and break are pre-filled from your check-in and check-out.
  2. Correct anything that is wrong. For a split shift you enter two blocks. If the venue let you go early, note that.
  3. Enter your travel — no more than the amount in your terms. For a ticket against a receipt, upload the ticket.
  4. Check the preview and submit. A draft is saved if you stop halfway. Once all days are confirmed, the shift is completed.

The client has 48 hours to confirm or dispute your times. If they do not respond, the times count as confirmed. So submit promptly — Sunworker reminds you two hours after the end of the day.

Extra hours

If a day took longer than planned, simply enter the actual time — there is no separate application. Once it is confirmed, Sunworker collects the extra amount from the client. Billing is to the minute based on the confirmed actual hours, rounded according to your terms.

If the client disputes

The client never changes your times themselves. They give a reason and may suggest other times. You have three options:

  • Accept the proposal — the day is then confirmed.
  • Submit again — with corrected times; the 48 hours start again.
  • Open a dispute — Sunworker establishes the times based on check-in, check-out and messages. Sunworker does not decide on prices.
