When will I get my money?
Once a shift has been completed, a clearing period of 72 hours begins; after that, the payout is made as soon as the invoice for the shift is available.
How the money flows
- The client confirms your acceptance. The full amount is collected and held in escrow by the platform — you know before the shift that the money is there.
- After the shift you submit your actual hours. Once all days are confirmed, the shift is completed.
- Sunworker creates your invoice after you have checked the draft — or sets up a placeholder if you upload your own.
- The clearing period of 72 hours follows, the same at every level.
- Once the invoice is available, the payout goes to your payout account and from there to your bank account. For a shift covering several days, clearing begins once all days are confirmed.
Commission
Sunworker retains a commission of 15% of your pay, 10% from Level 2 and 8% from Level 3. Surcharges are part of your pay; no commission is charged on travel.
| Level | Reached | Commission |
|---|---|---|
| New | From day one until your first completed shifts. | 15% |
| Level 1 | After your first completed shifts. | 15% |
| Level 2 | After many completed shifts. | 10% |
| Level 3 | The highest level: after the most completed shifts. | 8% |
Without an active payout account you can receive requests but cannot accept them. So set it up under Payout before your first acceptance.
What holds up a payout
- There is no faster payout for a fee.
- No invoice, no payout: if invoicing details are missing or your own invoice is still waiting to be uploaded, the money stays put. Sunworker reminds you. In “Finances” the amount then shows under “Waiting for invoice”.
- If collecting the extra amount for additional hours from the client fails, the part already collected is still paid out. The rest is your claim against the client and follows once it comes in; Sunworker does not advance it.
- If a dispute is open, the payout is held until it is resolved.
