Setting up your payout account
You set up your payout account directly on Sunworker — with date of birth, phone, address, bank details and ID; it is held by our payment service provider Stripe.
What the account is for
Your payout account is how you receive the money from your shifts. Without an active account you can receive requests but cannot accept them. So set it up before your first acceptance — ideally straight away in the onboarding. The account is held by the payment service provider; from there the money goes to your bank account.
How to set it up
- Open Payout or the “Payout account” step in the onboarding.
- Enter your date of birth and phone number; you must be at least 18 years old. Sunworker takes your address from your invoicing details.
- Accept the terms for your payout account and enter your IBAN and account holder. Sunworker checks the IBAN as you enter it.
- Confirm your identity with your ID. If you have already uploaded it in the “Documents” step, Sunworker uses that upload.
What the status means
- Not started or in progress: details are missing — the page tells you which.
- Being verified: everything has been submitted and the payment service provider is checking it.
- Active: you can accept, and payouts are sent to you. You receive a notification when this happens.
- Restricted: a detail has been rejected. The reason is shown next to it; correct it.
Sunworker does not store your IBAN. In your account you only see the last four digits and the name of your bank. You maintain your name, tax number and company name only once — in your invoicing details.
Changing things later
If you change banks, enter the new IBAN under “Payout”. If the payment service provider asks for further details later, a notice appears there saying what is missing.
