The invoice for your shift
Sunworker creates the invoice to the client in your name from your invoicing details – you check a draft first. Or you upload your own invoice.
The invoice shows your name, your logo and your invoice number. Sunworker creates it in your name and on your behalf; the platform does not appear on it as a party.
Automatically via Sunworker
If you have authorised Sunworker in your invoicing details, a draft of your invoice is created as soon as the days of a submission are confirmed. You get a notification and can check it for 24 hours: with “Issue now” Sunworker creates the invoice straight away, with “Object” and a reason you stop it until Sunworker has reviewed the case. If you do nothing, Sunworker creates the invoice in your name when the period ends. It contains work, surcharges and travel for each day, to the minute from the confirmed actual hours, and shows:
- your name or company name, your address, tax number or VAT ID and your logo
- a sequential number in your own number range, without gaps within each calendar year
- the address of your Sunworker profile as your website
- an e-invoice (XRechnung) in addition to the PDF — this needs your phone number in your invoicing details
Uploading your own invoice
- Choose “Own invoice” in your invoicing details. Once the days are confirmed, Sunworker creates a placeholder with the amount due.
- Create the invoice for exactly this amount — in your own software or through your bookkeeper.
- Upload it as a PDF and enter the number, date and amounts. The date must not be before the last working day or in the future.
Sunworker compares the PDF with your details: number, gross amount and date or hours. If everything matches, the invoice is issued immediately. Otherwise a person at Sunworker checks it; until then the client does not see it. If the upload is missing, Sunworker reminds you after three and after seven days.
The payout is only made once your invoice is available. A missing upload or missing invoicing details hold up the payout.
Correcting an invoice
Issued invoices are never overwritten. If something is wrong — your address, for example — you cancel the invoice under Receipts with a short reason. Sunworker issues a cancellation receipt and, if you wish, a new invoice with your current details straight away. You cancel an uploaded invoice with a cancellation receipt of your own.
