Sunworker

Fair reviews

For: Venues · Professionals · Private individuals

On Sunworker, reviews only exist after a completed shift and come from the people involved – and a review is never hidden because it is negative.

At a glance

  • Who reviews: only someone who took part in a shift completed through Sunworker, from their own approved account.
  • When: within 14 days of completion. Venue and professional review blind; both reviews appear at the same time.
  • When Sunworker steps in: only for set reasons, such as insults, personal data or untrue statements of fact. The rating and text are never changed.

Who can leave a review

  • Only someone who took part in a shift completed through Sunworker can leave a review – signed in and from their approved account.
  • Venue and professional review each other; a private individual reviews the professional.
  • There is exactly one review per shift and direction.
  • Sunworker itself does not leave reviews, and reviews from other sources are not imported.

Private individuals have no public profile. A private individual's review of a professional appears immediately.

Review blind, publish together

  1. A 14-day deadline starts when the shift is completed.
  2. Venue and professional review blind: neither side sees the other's review beforehand. You can still change your review until it is published.
  3. Both reviews become visible at the same time – as soon as both sides have reviewed or the deadline has passed.

Anyone who has not reviewed yet gets a reminder: on completion, after 5 days and 2 days before the deadline. Reminders go to everyone who can review – regardless of the rating to be expected.

What a review contains

  • Overall rating: 1 to 5 stars, required.
  • Individual ratings for professionals: punctuality, skill, cooperation, conduct.
  • Individual ratings for venues: briefing, organisation, tone, breaks and meals.
  • Private note: up to 500 characters, never public; it does not count towards the rating.

Reliability is not measured in stars but by acceptances, cancellations and shifts not turned up to.

How reviews are shown

A venue appears with its name and logo, a professional with first name, initial and photo, a private individual only as “Private individual”. Alongside are the role, month, single or multi-day shift and the note “After a completed shift”. Venues and professionals can review anonymously; internally, the author remains known. Prices never appear, and contact details and links are made unreadable.

How the average is calculated

The average is the simple mean of the overall ratings of all published reviews from the last 24 months, unweighted. It appears from 3 reviews, the star distribution from 6. All published reviews are shown, positive and negative, newest first by default. Payments to Sunworker, level or advertising affect neither the selection, the order nor the average.

A venue's rating is public too. Before every acceptance, the professional sees the venue's rating and reliability – the confirmation rate and cancellations and no-shows over the last 90 days. Venue rating

How to review fairly

  • Stick to the shift: write about this one shift, not about other things.
  • Only state facts you can back up: if a fact is disputed and you cannot back it up, the review is hidden.
  • No personal data: it does not belong in a review.
  • Keep it factual: criticism is allowed; insults, abuse and discrimination are not.
  • No trading: no review in return for a benefit, no review as retaliation.

Warning: There is nothing in return for a review. Bought, fake or swapped reviews are prohibited. No review is a condition for completion, payment or payout.

How Sunworker checks reviews

Every comment and every reply is checked automatically by an AI model when it is submitted. Anything unusual only appears once a person has checked it; until then it shows “Under review”. Only clear insults, threats or blackmail are not accepted at all – with the reason given immediately. A person always decides whether to hide a review.

Reasons for hiding a review

  • insults, abuse or discrimination
  • personal data
  • blackmail or trading
  • no connection to the shift
  • conflict of interest or retaliation
  • review in return for a benefit
  • The shift did not take place as described.
  • untrue statement of fact
  • otherwise unlawful, or a comparably serious breach, which is then named specifically

Important: A review is never hidden because it is negative. The rating and text are never changed – a review either stays as it is or is hidden.

Replying and withdrawing

  • Replying: The side that was reviewed can reply publicly once, directly below the review. The reply can be corrected for 15 minutes and is checked like a review. Replying to a review
  • Withdrawing: The author can withdraw a review up to 30 days after it is published. It then only shows “Review withdrawn” and no longer counts towards the average or level.

Reporting a review

With an account

  1. Select “Report” on the review. You need to be signed in.
  2. Give a reason and send the report. You will receive an acknowledgement.

You can report the same content only once; each account can send at most 20 reports a day.

Without an account

You can also report a review without an account by emailing kontakt@sunworker.eu. The report needs:

  • the exact location (URL)
  • a reason
  • your name and email address
  • a statement that your information is correct

If you dispute that the shift took place as described

  1. If, as the side reviewed, you object that the shift did not take place as described or that a fact is wrong, the review publicly shows the note “Under review”.
  2. The author gets 7 days for a non-public statement.
  3. Sunworker checks the shift data and, if necessary, the messages, and then decides.

Until the decision, the review stays visible – unless there is an obvious breach.

What happens next?

If the review is hidden
The author receives a statement of reasons: the measure, the facts, whether a report or Sunworker itself prompted it, whether the decision was automated, the reason and how to challenge it. The reviewed side and the person who reported learn the outcome.
If there is no reason to hide it
The review stays unchanged. The person who reported learns the outcome.
If a disputed fact is not backed up
If the author cannot back up a disputed fact, the review is hidden.

Complaining about a decision

If you think a decision about a review is wrong, you can complain free of charge within 6 months – by emailing kontakt@sunworker.eu with the subject “Review complaint”. A person decides, if possible someone other than the first time. If the complaint is justified, the decision is reversed without delay.

Anyone who frequently sends clearly unfounded reports is warned first. After that, Sunworker may temporarily stop processing their reports.

Frequently asked questions

When does the other side see my review?

Only when you have both reviewed or the 14-day deadline after completion has passed. Both reviews then appear at the same time.

Can I have a negative review removed?

Not because it is negative. A review is only hidden for set reasons, such as insults, personal data or an untrue fact. You can report the review or reply publicly once.

Do I have to leave a review for the shift to be paid?

No. No review is a condition for completion, payment or payout.

What happens to reviews when an account is deleted?

Reviews already given stay, anonymised as “former account”; private notes are deleted. Reviews about a deleted profile no longer appear.
