Credentials and checks by Sunworker
Sunworker checks every account before approval and verifies professionals’ credentials; without a valid food hygiene certificate nobody can accept a job involving food.
Whom Sunworker checks
Every account is checked before approval — professionals, venues and private individuals. Professionals submit, among other things, their ID and their business registration. Only after approval can they accept requests or apply for job postings.
The food hygiene certificate
Anyone who handles food commercially needs the health authority’s instruction under § 43 of the German Infection Protection Act, commonly called the health certificate. This applies in the kitchen and in service alike.
- The professional uploads the credential and Sunworker checks it. Only then does it appear as “verified” on the profile.
- Every credential has an expiry date. Once it has passed, it shows as “expired” and no longer counts.
- For jobs involving food, a professional can only accept with a verified, valid credential.
Other credentials
There are also hygiene training, allergen training, HACCP, first aid and qualification certificates, among others. In the search you filter by a credential; only those with it verified and valid are then shown.
What the check does — and doesn’t do
The check confirms that a document exists and appears valid. It is no guarantee of the quality of a service. Reviews from other clients and a conversation beforehand help with that.
If you need a particular credential, name it in your request or job posting. Professionals without it can then not accept.
