Reading a professional’s profile and credentials
A profile shows the final price, terms, experience, reviews and, for each credential, whether Sunworker has verified it and how long it is valid.
The essentials at the top
At the top you see name, roles, price, rating and distance. Below, the professional describes themselves: experience, previous positions, languages and specialities.
Price and terms
The professional sets the hourly rate, surcharges, travel costs and cancellation scale themselves. You see the hourly rate as a final price including VAT. Some professionals also offer packages, for example a menu for a set number of guests; you book those at a fixed price. The terms are recorded with your request and apply to that booking, even if the professional changes them later.
Many professionals set a minimum duration for private jobs. The form won’t accept a shorter hourly request. The minimum duration doesn’t apply to a fixed price — there the professional decides on the package when accepting.
Reading credentials correctly
- Verified — Sunworker has seen the document. Next to it you see how long it is valid.
- Under review — uploaded but not yet confirmed.
- Expired — the expiry date has passed and the credential no longer counts.
Anyone working with food needs a valid food hygiene certificate. What that means is explained under Credentials and checks.
Reviews
Only someone who has completed a job with the professional via Sunworker can leave a review. We show an average from three reviews. How we check reviews is explained under How we check reviews.
Who your contract is with
The professional is self-employed and therefore a trader in the legal sense. You conclude the contract for the job with them. You see their name and address before booking. You only exchange phone numbers once a booking is confirmed.
