Requesting and booking a professional

You request a professional at their hourly rate or with a fixed price, they accept or decline, and the booking only becomes binding once you confirm and the amount has been collected.

Three ways to book

  • At the hourly rate: you request a set time. Billing is based on the actual time, to the minute.
  • With a fixed price: you name a final price for a described service package or book one of the professional’s packages. The duration doesn’t change the price.
  • As a job posting: you describe your party and suitable professionals apply. More under Posting your party.

Filling in the request

  1. Occasion and guests: for example a birthday, a wedding or dinner with friends, plus the number of guests.
  2. Party location: without your own entry, your billing address applies. Add whether you are celebrating at home, in a rented venue or outdoors.
  3. Service package: what the professional should deliver, for example “Three courses for 24 guests, vegetarian starter”.
  4. Price: hourly rate or fixed price. The preview shows you the final price including VAT.
  5. Withdrawal notice: you tick a box to confirm you have read it.
  6. Request: the request is non-binding; the professional gets a notification.

What happens next

The professional accepts or declines

The professional decides. There is no counter-offer: if your fixed price doesn’t suit them, they decline and you can send a new request. They can’t see your address and phone number at this stage.

You confirm and pay

After acceptance, you open the booking under Bookings and confirm it. At that moment the full amount is collected from your payment method. Only then does the booking show as “confirmed”, and the professional sees the party location including the house number.

Your booking only becomes binding with your confirmation and the successful payment. Until then you can cancel at any time free of charge.

If the professional doesn’t reply before the job would start, the request expires automatically.
