Messaging professionals

You write to professionals via Messages in your account — only the venue can start a conversation, there is one per professional, and contact details or addresses are always hidden.

The rules

  • Only the venue starts. The professional replies. That way, nobody receives unsolicited messages.
  • One conversation per professional. All shifts with them appear in it as notes, so everything stays in one place.
  • No contact details or addresses. Phone numbers, email addresses, links, messenger names and addresses are hidden in both directions — even after confirmation. The message is still delivered; times, amounts and dates remain visible.
  • The shift is binding, not the chat. Times and amounts apply as stated in the shift.

From confirmation onwards, the professional sees the exact address, contact person and location notes in the shift itself — no chat needed.

What you can do in a conversation

  • Edit or delete your own messages for up to 15 minutes after sending
  • Propose a date — without a price. If the professional accepts, you then request the shift with a pre-filled form.
  • Have messages translated into your language
  • Archive or block conversations, or report individual messages

Quick replies

Under Settings → Quick replies you can create up to ten text snippets of up to 300 characters each, for example directions to the entrance for professionals or notes on what to wear.

A venue can start up to 20 new conversations a day. If you block a professional, they can no longer write to you and you can no longer request them.

Messages about a shift are possible for up to 14 days after completion, and for 48 hours after a cancellation or decline. The conversation itself stays open. How to report messages is explained in Reporting content and behaviour.
