Sunworker

Calendar, Google Calendar and iCal

The calendar shows your shifts by day, week and month; via Google Calendar or an iCal subscription they also appear in your own calendar.

The calendar in your account

Under Calendar you see all your venue’s shifts by date — in a day, week or month view. One click opens the shift with its status, times and professional.

Connecting Google Calendar

  1. Open Settings and choose “Connect” next to Google Calendar.
  2. Sign in to Google and allow access.
  3. Confirm the connection at Sunworker.
  • Sunworker creates a separate “Sunworker” calendar in your Google account and only writes to that one. Sunworker never sees the rest of your calendar.
  • Accepted shifts appear as tentative, confirmed ones as firm; cancelled ones are removed.
  • Changes you make to these entries in Google are overwritten by Sunworker at the next sync.
  • If you disconnect, the “Sunworker” calendar is deleted by default.

iCal subscription for other calendars

For Outlook, Apple Calendar and other programs there is a personal iCal link under Settings. It contains shifts from the “accepted” status onwards, 90 days back and 365 days ahead, each with a reminder two hours before.

Anyone who has the iCal link can see your shifts. Do not share it. If it has fallen into the wrong hands, generate a new one — the old one then stops working.

For everyone at the venue

The Google Calendar connection applies to your own account. If several people work at the venue, each connects their own calendar.

You choose which events also notify you under Language, currency and notifications.

The calendar in your account is always up to date. External calendars pick up changes with some delay, depending on the program.
