Data protection: who sees what
A professional only sees your venue’s phone number, email address and house number once you have a confirmed shift together; in return, you never receive their location data.
What professionals see of your venue
- Your venue profile with description, type and rating is public once your venue has been approved.
- Before a shift together, the street is shown without the house number.
- The professional only sees your phone number, email address, house number and location notes once they have a confirmed shift with you.
What you see of professionals
In search, you only see the professional’s distance, not where they live. At check-in you learn when they checked in, but not where they are. You also only see their contact details once you have a confirmed shift.
Messages
Contact details and addresses in messages are always hidden, in both directions. Conversations are deleted three years after the last message.
How long we keep data
- Receipts: ten years, as required by law
- Conversations: three years after the last message
- Reviews: until they are withdrawn or removed; without your name if your account is deleted
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification and erasure. How to request this is explained in Delete your account and request your data; everything else is in the privacy policy.
Users at the venue
The roles decide who at your venue sees which data: Accounting, HR and Read only, for example, cannot see messages. More under Invite users and assign permissions.
Tip
Do not pass on contact details in roundabout ways, such as in reviews or replies. Everything a shift needs is in the shift itself from confirmation onwards.
In short: the other side learns as much as the shift requires — and only once it is certain.
