If a professional does not turn up

If a professional does not turn up for a confirmed shift, you record a no-show; you then pay nothing and the incident counts against their reliability.

First: get in touch

If the professional is not there at the agreed time, message them via Messages in the shift. Sometimes they are stuck in traffic or at the wrong entrance. If they have checked in, you will see it in the shift.

Recording a no-show

  1. Open the confirmed shift under Shifts.
  2. Choose “No-show” and confirm.
  3. The professional is notified; the shift appears with the note in your timeline.

You can only record a no-show for a confirmed shift. If the professional has gone silent on a requested or accepted shift, simply cancel it — that costs nothing.

What happens next

  • You pay nothing; the amount collected is refunded.
  • No-shows count against the professional’s reliability and level. If it happens repeatedly, Sunworker can suspend the account.
  • Messages about the shift remain possible for 48 hours afterwards — for example for an explanation.

Only record a no-show if the professional really did not come. If they came and there is a disagreement about the times, dispute the actual hours instead.

Finding a replacement quickly

Search for today’s date and sort by distance. Professionals who are explicitly available appear at the top. How to do this is explained in Search and filter professionals.

Prevention helps: add clear notes about the entrance to your profile and name a contact person who can be reached. Many apparent no-shows are professionals standing at the wrong door.

The same applies the other way round: cancellations and no-shows count towards the reliability that professionals see before accepting.
