Cancelling yourself or being unable to attend
You can cancel a shift at any time; the client then gets their money back in full. Cancellations count neither towards your level nor towards your commission.
Before you accept
If a request does not suit you, decline it. That is not a cancellation, costs nothing and does not count against your level. Do not simply let a request lapse: with a clear decline, the venue knows where it stands and can ask someone else straight away.
Cancelling after you have accepted
- Open the shift under Shifts.
- Choose “Cancel” and give a reason if you like.
- Confirm. The client is notified immediately. The timeline shows who cancelled.
What a cancellation means
- The client pays nothing: any amount already collected is refunded in full. You receive nothing for the shift. If you cancel a shift that is already under way, you invoice the days already worked or begun normally; only the remaining days are refunded. There is no cancellation compensation when you cancel yourself.
- The cancellation counts neither towards your level nor towards your commission.
- If cancellations are repeated, Sunworker may suspend your account. Reliability is the most important thing a short-notice shift offers.
Cancel as early as possible. Dropping out at short notice leaves a venue without cover. Also block the days you are not available in your calendar — then no requests come in for them at all.
No-show
If you do not turn up for a confirmed shift, the client records a “no-show”. You receive nothing, they get their money back. Once the no-show is established, it counts towards your badge, not your commission. After three established cases within twelve months, Sunworker reviews whether your account is restricted (Terms § 6 para. 5).
If you were there and the record is wrong, write to us using the contact form and name the shift. Sunworker has recorded your check-in.
