Availability, holidays and blocked days
In the calendar you enter when you are regularly available, add exceptions and block days such as your holiday; nobody can request you on days blocked for the whole day.
Rules, exceptions and blocks
Under Calendar you manage three kinds of entry:
- Rule: recurring, for example Monday to Saturday from 16:00 to 24:00. A rule may run past midnight.
- Exception: applies to one day and overrides the rule — for example a Sunday on which you are available for once.
- Block: overrides everything. Nobody can request you on a day that is blocked for the whole day.
“No entry” does not mean “no time”. If you enter nothing, you can still be found — when someone searches for a specific day, you simply appear after those who have marked the day as available.
Entering holidays and longer breaks
- Open the calendar and create a block.
- Choose the first and last day. A period can cover up to 366 days; you block half a day by adding times.
- If you like, give a reason — holiday, ill, private or other — and a short note.
The reason and the note are private. Venues only see that you are not available on that day — never why.
If there is already a shift on one of the days, nothing is blocked. Sunworker lists the shifts concerned; you cancel or decline them first and then block. Past blocks remain as a record.
Available now
If you have time at short notice, switch on “Available now”. The notice appears on your profile and applies until a time you choose — at most 24 hours ahead. After that it ends by itself.
