When and where you appear in search
You appear in search once your account is approved, your profile has a photo, a short introduction and a role, and your bookings are switched on; the order cannot be bought.
When you can be found
- Your account has been reviewed and approved.
- Your profile has a photo, a short introduction and at least one role.
- Under “Terms”, “Bookings on” is switched on. If it is off, you do not appear in search; your profile can still be reached via its address.
- The place searched for lies within your working radius and within the search radius the venue chooses.
If a venue searches for a specific day, you are missing if you have blocked that whole day. Private individuals only see you if you accept jobs from private individuals.
The “Best match” order
If the venue does not choose its own sorting, Sunworker sorts by “Best match”. The criteria apply one after another — the second only decides where the first is equal:
- Availability on the chosen day: anyone who has marked the day as available comes before those with no entry.
- Distance to the place searched for: nearest first.
- Average rating from published reviews.
- Number of reviews — counted only up to a cap, so that new professionals get a chance.
- Number of completed shifts.
Nobody can buy a better position. Commission and level do not change the “Best match” order. All criteria are set out on How we sort.
What you can do yourself
- Enter your availability. When someone searches for a day, it is the first criterion.
- Under “Terms”, check your working radius and the postcode of your base.
- Upload credentials. Venues often filter for a verified health certificate.
- Leave a review yourself after every shift. As soon as both sides have reviewed, the reviews appear — including the one about you.
