Messaging professionals
You write to professionals in your account’s inbox; you start the conversation, there is one per professional, and contact details or addresses are always hidden.
The rules
- You start. You write the first message and the professional replies. That way nobody receives unsolicited messages.
- One conversation per professional. All bookings with them appear in it as notes.
- No contact details or addresses. Phone numbers, email addresses, links, messenger names and addresses are hidden in both directions, even after confirmation. Times, amounts and dates stay visible.
- The booking is binding, not the chat. Times and prices apply as they appear in the booking.
The professional sees the party location with house number and your phone number in the booking itself from confirmation onwards. The chat isn’t needed for that.
What you can do in a conversation
- edit or delete your own messages up to 15 minutes after sending
- propose a date — without a price. If the professional accepts, you then send a request with a pre-filled form.
- have messages translated into your language
- archive or block conversations
You can start a conversation once your account is approved.
If something isn’t right
You report an individual message directly in the conversation. If you block a professional, they can no longer write to you and you can no longer request them. More under Reporting a professional or behaviour.
