Adding a payment method
Under “Payment method” you add a card or an account for SEPA direct debit; without a saved method you pay directly in the payment form when you confirm.
How to add a payment method
- Open Account → Payment method.
- Choose card or SEPA direct debit and enter the details.
- Confirm with your bank if asked. The first payment method automatically becomes your default.
You don’t have to add anything in advance. If you have no payment method yet, the payment form for that specific payment opens when you confirm a booking. The method is saved so that later additional charges are possible. Nothing is collected when you add a method.
Card or direct debit?
- Card: the payment usually goes through immediately and the booking shows as “confirmed” straight away.
- SEPA direct debit: it takes some time. Until it has gone through, the booking stays “accepted” — for short-notice bookings a card is the safer choice.
Changing and deleting
- If you have several payment methods, you choose which is the default. Payments are always collected from the default.
- You can’t delete the default while a booking is accepted, confirmed or in progress — it is needed for additional charges.
- If your card is about to expire, add the new one in good time and make it the default.
Entry is handled by the payment provider Stripe. Sunworker doesn’t store full card or account details. Your card or account details go directly to Stripe.
