Reading a professional’s profile and credentials

The key facts at the top

At the very top are the name, roles, hourly rate, rating and distance. Below that, the professional describes themselves: experience, previous positions, languages and specialisms.

Terms

The professional sets their own hourly rate, surcharges, travel costs, minimum hours and cancellation scale. They are shown on the profile and are recorded with your request — what you see when you send the request applies to that shift, even if the professional changes their terms later.

Reading credentials correctly

Each credential has a status:

• Verified — Sunworker has checked the document. Next to it you see how long it is valid.
• Under review — uploaded but not yet confirmed.
• Expired — the expiry date has passed. The credential no longer counts.

Reviews and response time

Reviews only come from venues that have actually worked with the professional. We show an average from three reviews. Once there is enough data, you can also see how quickly the professional replies to messages.

Minimum hours and travel

Many professionals state a minimum duration per shift, often three hours. The system does not allow a shorter request. Travel costs are also on the profile: none, a flat rate, a ticket against a receipt or an amount per kilometre. Both are included in the preview of your request.

You only see the professional’s phone number and email address once you have a confirmed shift together.
