Placement rather than employment
Sunworker only places you: you make the contract for a shift directly with the venue or private individual, you set your hourly rate yourself and you decide on every request.
Who is who
- You are self-employed. You set your hourly rate, surcharges, travel and cancellation scale yourself and decide on each request individually.
- The venue — or the private individual — is your client and the contracting party for the shift.
- Sunworker arranges the contact, checks credentials and handles payment through escrow. Sunworker does not become a party to the shift contract and does not employ you. Sunworker does not set an hourly rate.
What this means for you
- Nobody sets a rate for you, and nobody negotiates it for you.
- You can decline any request without it harming your level.
- You work for different clients — and happily more than once for the same one, with every shift requested individually.
- The client describes the result; how you work is up to you.
Separate when it comes to money too
Your invoice goes to the client, not to Sunworker. Sunworker only invoices you for the commission for the placement. You pay tax on your income yourself. Sunworker creates the invoice in your name, or you upload your own.
Sunworker does not pay in advance: what is paid out is what has been collected from the client. An outstanding amount is your claim against the client.
Working together on site
Information on hygiene, safety and house rules, a briefing and the question of which station needs covering are part of working together. Rotas over several weeks, holiday approvals or requirements about your hourly rate do not belong in a shift via Sunworker.
