What a shift costs
You pay the professional’s pay based on their hourly rate plus surcharges and travel, VAT where applicable, and on top a service fee of 15% of the order value to Sunworker.
The components
- Hourly rate × time: the professional sets the rate. Billing is to the minute, based on the confirmed actual time.
- Surcharges: for nights, Sundays and bank holidays, as set by the professional.
- Travel: none, a flat rate, a ticket against a receipt or an amount per kilometre — depending on the professional’s terms.
- VAT on the pay, unless the professional is a small business exempt from VAT.
- Service fee of 15% of the order value for Sunworker.
Surcharges
Sunworker suggests the following surcharges. If several apply — a Sunday night, for example — the highest counts; they are not added together.
- Night work (11 pm–6 am)
- + 25%
- Sunday
- + 50%
- Public holiday
- + 100%
Suggested by the platform. Professionals set their own surcharges; if several apply, the highest one counts — they are not added together.
The service fee
The order value is the professional’s net pay including surcharges but excluding travel. No service fee is charged on travel. The fee is collected with the shift and invoiced to you separately by Sunworkers Ltd. — without VAT under the reverse charge procedure.
- Venue service fee (of the order value)
- 15%
- Professional’s commission
- 15%
- Commission from Level 2
- 10%
- Commission from Level 3
- 8%
- Clearing after the booking
- 72 hours
You do not see or pay the commission the professional pays to Sunworker. It is deducted from their payout.
VAT and small businesses
If the professional is a small business under § 19 UStG (German VAT Act), their invoice shows no VAT. This is stated on their profile and is automatically reflected in the preview.
Knowing the cost in advance
The preview before you send a request shows you the amount per day with all components. Your account, searching and requests are free — money only changes hands with a confirmed shift. The terms at a glance are also on Pricing.
